After a smashing entry on 10 December, the Great Online Shopping Festival kept up the shopping euphoria on Day 2 as well. To ensure that shoppers were not left sifting through the same deals on the second day, some merchants came up with some amazing deals that were heavy on the cart, not on the wallet.
As mobile phones were selling like hot cakes on the first day, the trend was kept alive by Snapdeal and Amazon India, which gave some unbelievable price cuts on particular mobile phones. While Snapdeal put up Karbonn Titanium Octane Plus (White) at 41% discount, Amazon India had the Micromax Canvas A1 up for grabs at rock-bottom price of Rs. 5,999.
On the other hand, Jabong again announced its Flat 90% Sale at 12 p.m. on apparels and other clothing accessories, the most successful category of GOSF 2014. Also, Fashion And You is offering more than 50% off on premium brands like Gucci, Versace, Marc Jacobs and others.
To give the kids’ section the much needed push, Firstcry.com came up with some exciting deals offering a plethora of kids’ products at Re.1, Rs 9, Rs 99, Rs. 199 and Rs. 299. It is offering diapers, kids’ clothes, footwear, toys, games, and other nursery needs at heavy discounts of up to 80%
Also, not lagging behind was the home décor & furnishings category with Fabfurnish and Pepperfry, the chief market players in this category, offering staggering discounts of up to 90% on some of its products. Pepperfry offered bookracks, glass sets, lamps and other such home décor items at Rs 135 only.
With such GOSF 2014 indeed managed to hold a tight grip on shoppers for the second day in row, giving them enough reason to comeback on the third day, too.
